The academic rewards and the gifts

1-Modification of nominating of the new students   

The scientific degrees which the faculties present:

      *  The theoretical and practical colleges grant the degree of BSC and licentiate

      *  The institutes of nursing and their number is two institutes grant the  degrees of diploma
          of the nursing and from her "the artistic institute of nursing  follower of the specialized
           hospital".

      *  In addition to the two  institutes of the highest studies of Arabic language and
          accomplishment of the exam in the Arabic language which studies in her the curriculum
          ,and in special cases , the  council of the faculty can authorize the student to answer
          with  other language  after the approval of  council of the specialized vow.

Listening system:

The brigadier can authorize the listening for the zealous student whome desires in any one of the faculties or the institutes that follows the university or the authorization of following of works of the labs or the experiments in this faculty or the institutes and that's without any advanced studies or testimonies scientific, the authorization doesn't includes any authorization in accomplishment of the exams nor give the rights in the get testimony or scientific degree.

Study and exams system:

     *  The study depends on the regime of the two scholastic terms where at the end of each
          term an editorial exam “first in January" and "second in may “except the faculty of
          medicine which do not use this regime and the study needs from the student to following
          the lessons and to participate in the scientific exercises or the basic research rooms with
          ratio of 75% from the total academic hours.

     *  The exam of second phase complicates for final stage students, who fail in one or two
          course only in (October - November) for getting the scientific degree except the faculty
          of  the medicine.
      

      *  According to the rules of  university it is not allowed to students to remain at one stage
         more than two years and the faculty's  council can authorize the students  who remain
         two years at their stages  to attend the exam from outside  in next year  in the courses
         which they failed in them ,that's except  the students of the first stages in the faculties
         that have  preparatory teams.

      *  Also the faculty's council can permits final stages students and before final to have two
          additional chances to attend the exam from the outside.

      *  If the student didn't attend the exam for coercive excuse,  and accepted by the faculty's
          council so his absence not consider failure with condition not to absent more than two
          times  sequentially or separately during academic years in the faculty.

      *  A third chance can be given to the student by the decision from university's council at the
          necessity cases. 

      *  The absent student considers at the exam with no acceptable excuse formally with the
          grade' very weak'.

Grades of success: 

The grade of the student is calculated according to the grades he gets on condition that he gets ' fair' at the subjects he failed in it or did not attend it without accepted  excuse ,but if his excuse is acceptable ,he can get the whole grade of the subject.

The grades of success are:

Excellent – Very Good – Good – Fair

The grades of failure are:   

 Poor – Very poor

This previous grades are used according to the system which defined by the internal rules of faculties and if any exam of any subject have written one and another oral or practical one, then any student doesn't attend the written exam fails at the whole subject and does not get any grade for it.

The grades of success for student at Bachelor or are:

Excellent – Very Good – Good – Fair

The general final grade of the student at Bachelor or licentiate according to his accumulative grade of his all previous years at the faculty, the students are arranged according to this grade.

The student is granted the degree of honor if his general final grade is 'Excellent' or 'Very Good'. Also if his grade at any stage of the faculty except the preparatory year is not less than 'Very Good' and that he did not fail at any exam during his study at the faculty except at the preparatory year.

The academic rewards and the incentives :

               1-The new students  from the sons of Arab republic of Egypt whose order at the
                   final secondary school exam is not more than 30 at science branch ,10 at arts
                   and 5 at artistic deplumes are granted a yearly  reward of 120EG pound

               2- The new students from the sons of Arab republic of Egypt who got at least 80%
                   at the  secondary school final exam or the exam of artistic secondary schools'
                   exam and not included at the previous point are granted a reward of 84 EG

               3- This rewards are continue to be granted to the students who got it according to
                    the pervious two points in case the student can get  ' very Good' at any stage's
                    exam  at the faculty

               4- Every student gets 'Excellent' grade at any stage exam is granted a yearly
                    rewardof 120 EG also the every student who gets 'very Good' and not included
                    at the previous points is granted a a yearly reward of 60 EG, the higher council
                    of universities puts the rules for this system for the students who are accepted at
                    stages after preparatory stages or the first stages at the faculties which not
                    have preparatory stages

               5- The rewards are granted at the years after the year at which the student got the
                    grades we mentioned before and be continued if it satisfies its conditions  

               6- The rewards at the faculties which do not have a yearly exam are continued to
                     be granted at the study's stage after the exam.

               7- The rewards are given to the students as monthly installments during the year 
                   and if the student dided before receiving it, the reward is given to his heirs as one
                    installment .

                8- The higher council of universities has the authority according to the suggestion
                     universities' councils to grant a reward to encourage studies at some
                     departments .

Students' punishment system:

The breach in the systems and the rules results in the following punishments: 

Orally or written warning, alert, the deprivation from some of the students' services, like the deprivation from attending lectures of one of subjects at least for month, the dismissal from the college to more than month, the deprivation from the exam in subject or more, then cancel the exam of the student in subject or more then  dismissal form the collage for one academic class or more, the dismissal from the college more than semester then  final dismissal from the university, the final decision of dismissal, reaches the other universities ,and resulted that the student wouldn't  be able to shackle or  attend the exam in the  universities of  Arab republic of  Egypt  that  follows  the law of  universities organizing.

Rules of Students Transformation:

Decision of the higher council of universities that the transformation between the corresponding  faculties is in the central universities on the level of each university , and the central office of transformations in university of Ain Shams is one of the  important unities ,which  leads to students'  services for the  willing students in  joining one of the faculties of the university .

Work of the office starts in month of August from every year at these services:

      1-Modification of nominating of the new students

This service is for students who had  the general secondary this year , the student  was already nominated  through office the coordination to one of the colleges and the student desires  in modifying   his nominating  to one of the faculties  in the university , and  that  occurs through the centralized office  of the transformation  that follows the  university , in  one condition ,   the student  must had  the minimum  limit  for grand total which  accepted by the faculty that he has transformed to at this year ,and  fulfillment the condition of  the geographical distribution , and that  occurs with the agreement  with the faculty that  transformed from her and transformed to her .

      2-Transport of the shackle to faculties not similar

This service is for students who had the general secondary, from previous years, where the student is listed in one of the faculties for one   year or more, in one condition not being dismissed, and desires in transform his shackle   from faculty to another one not similar in the same university or in other university with condition that the student got the minimum limit for total degrees of the faculty he wanted to transform his shackle to, in the year he had the general secondary.  And fulfillment the condition of the geographical distribution and the student benefits from this system only once.

      3- Acceptance of the dismissed students

This service is  for the dismissed students who finished all his chances of failure, they accepted  as affiliation students "  directed  affiliation " in colleges of the literatures, the truths, the commerce only with consideration that the student had  the minimum  limit of the total degrees  of   the faculty he wanted to join, in the year of  the general secondary  or  in this year, what ever is better to the student , and  he benefits from this system only once.

    4- Conversions of the teams higher than first and preliminary

The completely successful Students for in their faculties with at least acceptable grades could be converted from similar colleges in the regional university   - without Cairo - to Ain Shams university in condition that inhabiting in the range of the geographical distribution to Ain Shams university with the announced conditions for each faculty and in all matters the student must have the approval from the two faculties .

       5-Transformation of non Egyptians students

Transformation of non Egyptians students is done by the general department of non Egyptians after the approval of the Minster of high education and scientific research and also completing the required procedures at the central office of conversions according to the rules of the higher council of universities for each faculty .

      6- Equivalent certificates

Students who have an equivalent Arabic or foreigner certificate as follow:

    A-students who got the equivalent certificate in previous years are transferred after
        completing the required procedures at the central office of conversions in the university to
        check the coordination of acceptance office if there is an empty place at the faculty he
        needs to enter it.

    B-Dismissed students who have equivalent certificates can be accepted at faculties of (Arts –
       Commerce – law) according to the minimum limit of acceptance at this faculties for this
       group in the years in which the these students got their certificate.
       After completing the required procedures at the central office of conversions in the university
       to check the coordination of acceptance office if there is an empty place at the faculty he  
       needs to enter it

    C- Modification of the nomination directly by the office of the coordination

     7-  The conversion and transformation from Arabic and foreigner universities :

Transformation is done from Arabic and foreigner universities the centrally by the coordination of the acceptance office in universities and the high institutes.

    8- Tranformation of the shackle and accepting the dismissed students from the private universities . 

The transformation of the  shackle of  the  restrictive  students in the  special universities  and the higher institutes that submissive for the supervision of the ministry of the high education , and also the   acceptance of the dismissed students  as affiliation students by the  office coordination of the acceptance in universities  and the institutes with finishing the   remaining procedures  of the acceptance in the university by the central  office for transformations after the office the coordination nominating them.
