Academic degrees:

The university’s council grants according to the recommendation of faculty’s council the following degrees:

            

First: Bachelor degree of Dentistry:

The required period of study in the faculty to obtain a B.Sc. degree is five academic years. It starts with a preparatory year

Second: Postgraduate Diploma:

Specialties:

• Pedodontics, Oral Hygiene and Public Health.
• Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Pathology.
• Dental Radiology.
• Oral Medicine and Periodontics.
• Crown and Bridge.
• Operative Dentistry.
• Endodontics.
• Prosthodontics.

Applicants for a diploma degree must possess Bachelor Degree in Oral and Dental Medicine from an Egyptian University or an equivalent degree from a recognized institute.

      Minimum of 2 years following graduation.

 

Third:Master of Dental Science (M.D.Sc.).

Specialties:

• Oral Pathology.
• Oral Biology.
• Dental Biomaterials.
• Orthodontics.
• Pedodontics.
• Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
• Pedodontics. ( Oral Hygiene and Public Heath )
• Oral radiology.
• Oral medicine and periodontics.
• Crown and Bridge.
• Operative dentistry.
• Endodontics.
• Dental and Maxillofacial prosthesis

Applicants for enrollment to an M.Sc must possess Bachelor Degree in Oral and Dental Medicine from an Egyptian University or an equivalent degree from a recognized institute.

 - Minimum of 3 years following graduation.

 

 Fourth:Doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.)

Specialties:

In one of the following basic dental sciences

• Oral Pathology.
• Oral Biology.
• Dental Biomaterials.

- Application for the enrollment for a Ph.D must possess. degree Bachelor Degree in Oral and Dental Medicine from an Egyptian University or an equivalent degree from a recognized institute.

- Master of Dental Science Degree (M.D.Sc.) in the same dental basic sciences specialty from an Egyptian university or on equivalent degree from a recognized institute with a minimum grade of good.

 

Fifth: Doctor of Dental Science (D.D.Sc.)

Specialties:

• Orthodontics.
• Pedodontics.
• Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
• Oral Hygiene and Public Heath.
• Oral radiology
• Oral medicine and periodontics
• Crown and Bridge
• Operative dentistry
• Endodontics
• Dental and Maxillofacial prosthesis

 

- Application for the enrollment for a Ph.D must possess. Bachelor Degree in Oral and Dental Medicine from an Egyptian University or an equivalent degree from a recognized institute.
