Autoregressive Filter Algorithm for Sifting Digital Images

Abstract:
This paper introduces a second order autoregressive filter algorithm for sifting digital images. The algorithm is implemented for one-dimensional data, given as random noise-added sine wave, and then for two-dimensional data depicted, by images. This has necessitated preprocessing of the row data and the proper use of the second order autoregressive filter algorithm in all of its possible cases. The obtained results are very reasonable and could be even adjusted to the required filtering level.
