Abstract:
Decision analysis of rough set approach has been used in implementation of different applications in medicine, that were introduced by Pawalk in the early 1980s as a new mathematical tool to deal with vagueness and uncertainty. In this paper we apply the knowledge discovery process using rough set analysis methodology to generate some predictive rules that can help in the future to predict thrombosis disease from a set of medical data base obtained from "Discovery Challenge" competition organized as a part of the third Conference On Principles And Practice European Discovery in Database, in Prauge (September 1999) this analysis represents the ability of obtaining more than J 000 predictive rule from that set of data base. Some of them were successfully evaluated by expert physician in this domain.
