Abstract
Many of small business organizations tend to combine the operational data stores
(ODS) and data warehousing (DW) in one structure in order to save the expenses
of building two separate structures for each of them. The purpose of this paper
is investigating the expected obstacles that may affect organizations that try
to combine the ODS and DW in one structure. Both the analytical and comparative
analysis are used to investigate the obstacles and drawbacks that have been
faced in combining the ODS and DW in one structure.
